Area Manager South Europe

The company is looking for an Area Manager South Europe. The candidate will report directly to the Europe Sales Director and will have to manage an Account Executive in Milan. In addition he/she will:

  • Ensure the development of the wholesale business for Russia & Eastern Europe, Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus. Manage business thru agents on Italy, Spain/Portugal, and Middle East regions;
  • Develop strong partnerships within Department stores and VIC (very important clients) by increasing business, managing client relations / outline budgets and OTB, monitoring sell out and giving strong contribution to the Visual Merchandising by training on best practices and formalizing them to ensure processes and guidelines are the same across all Dept.Stores / Maisons’ Retail and easily communicated – in accordance with Europe distribution strategies;
  • Manage and supervise sales in the showrooms in Milan;
  • Supervise Shoe-otbs and sell out of the Maisons’ Retail. Provide support for the in store maintenance in order to be up to standard regarding shoe product display and windows;
  • Ensure new customers’ development and optimization of the existing ones by assessing the distribution strategy within the territory, recommending account closures and openings to maximize business results and enhance brand positioning;
  • Visit frequently clients in the areas of responsibilities, monitor market and implement trainings (both product knowledge and shoe sales skills) according to the Company guidelines;
  • Ensure full clients’ support in liaison with the Head Quarter commercial team;
  • Conduct quarterly key distributor meetings to review account performance, present market share analysis, resolve issues and gain commitment on next quarter plan;
  • Follow up as required to ensure timely execution of Company strategies in accordance to budgeted plan;
  • Supervise the Outlet and stock sales to determinate clients.

The ideal candidate’s profile includes the following skills and competencies:

  • At least two significant wholesale/retail experiences in fashion/luxury industry in particular in areas in charge;
  • Strong interpersonal and managerial skills, result orientation, leadership, analytical skills, product sensitivity – together with strong ability to align company objectives with the objectives of each account and design business solutions;
  • Results–driven – ability to effectively implement plans for maximizing sales and profits within a defined region;
  • International experience/profile;
  • Strong ability to motivate distributors and create loyalty to the company’s products within distributors organisation and at retail location;
  • Business school;
  • Other competencies or individual qualities: dynamism, ability in negotiation
    English. Italian. French is a plus;
  • Computer proficiency;
